Football Reservations

If you’re planning to be in town for a home game, book your stay at The Penn Stater Hotel to complete your Penn State experience. Guests seeking reservations for game weekends were requested to complete and submit an application prior to December 31st for the upcoming season.  

The review process has begun for all applications that were submitted prior to February 1st for the 2012 season.  If you have not submitted your requests and still wish to join us for a home football weekend, please email your requests to reservations@psu.edu to be added to the waitlist.  Once the initial room allocation is complete, you will be contacted with any available dates.  Outstanding requests will be monitored closely throughout the year and you will be notified as soon as a room may be available.

Game tickets may be available for purchase for our overnight guests.  Please email footballresv@psu.edu to inquire about availability.

Stay Restrictions

We require both Friday and Saturday nights for all home football weekends. Rooms are not intended for resale or transfer without proper notification to and approval from the hotel. If you are making a reservation on someone’s behalf, please include contact details of the person staying in the room. Penn State Hotels may cancel any booking that is transferred or resold inappropriately, and any deposits will be forfeited. 

Room Guarantees

Room reservations for home football weekends will be finalized and confirmed only when they have been guaranteed with a credit card (or when a check payment has been received). Credit card guarantees (or checks) must be received by June 1 to avoid having the room released. No rooms will be held after June 1 without a credit card guarantee or a check payment. 

Cancellations and Deposits

Cancellation requests must be received in writing at least 30 days prior to the planned arrival date.  *Reservations made within the cancellation period are considered to be non-refundable and require a full pre-payment at time of booking.

Season packages are non-refundable unless individual game cancellation requests are made at least 30 days prior to the first game weekend.  Any remaining reservations will be adjusted to reflect individual game pricing levels and eligibility for future season package consideration may be affected.

Non-refundable, advance deposits will be processed beginning 30 days prior to the reservation arrival date for all football weekends. The amount of the deposit is equal to the amount of room and tax for the number of rooms received. No rooms will be held without a deposit. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival will be subject to a forfeit of the entire deposit.
